Un excellent article du Happy hospitalist sur les complications médicales, la qualité des hôpitaux et la mentalité des soins de santé “parfaits”. Ceci dit, l’article concerne le système de santé de nos voisins du Sud.
Voici des extraits :
It’s not as simple an issue as a patient was harmed, the hospital sucks.
Many would like to believe that anything short of zero is bad. And that perfection mentality will kill us all, by bankrupting the hospital system and sending safety nets to their grave.
What do we want as a country? Do we want perfect care? Or do we want great access. You can’t have both. Perfect is expensive. And we all know that expense is inversely proportional to access. So America. Who’s going to pay for it? The tax payer is already paying for 5 trillion dollars in bail outs. Are we going to ask them to pay 30 trillion dollars more?
If we want the rich to pay for everything, they will eventually stop working so hard. And that means we are right back at square one. No work. No taxes. So, who’s going to pay for it?
When we run out of money, Perfection Will Kill Us All.
